Your role

As the Administrative Assistant – Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), you are a highly motivated person with skills in workload planning, organization, communication, and using software and digital platforms. You assist in office administration, creation of information documents, organizing meetings, developing agendas and documenting minutes for our respective committees, and offering any other support as needed.

You assist the HSE senior director with the administrative tasks around the department’s financial resources and contracts, tracking of compliance items and projects, and in the monitoring of training plans.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in office administration or a related field
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience performing similar or related duties
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment and Business continuity is an asset
  • Highly motivated in learning and developing new skills related to Health, Safety and Environment
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in French and English
  • Budget monitoring and contract preparation experience is an asset
  • Solid command of Google Tools (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.), MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of environmental management software
  • Ability to take meeting minutes and notes in a timely fashion
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills. Ability to shift priorities when needed
  • Ability to work independently, as well as demonstrate initiative, thoroughness, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work with confidential information and documents as well as apply a high level of discretion
  • Ability to travel when needed
